Spoke at my company’s meet up which was ran by a workgroup promoting data literacy.

Department teaching

I curated data science topics related to my profession, speech (and swallowing) therapy, and taught them to my department. Lessons learnt was accepted as a poster presentation at the inaugural Singapore Allied Health Conference 2021.

1. Data science as a research methodology– The definition of data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence is conceptualized. The differences between statistics conventionally used in research and machine learning is highlighted.

2. Computer vision and video fluoroscopy swallow study (VFSS)– Data is more than just values on spreadsheet. They include visual input. Data science has allowed visuals like VFSS to be processed and analysed.
